Praise the Lord! We were privileged to baptize this sister in Christ! Her story is pretty amazing. The morning of our first Sunday School, Sister Lola trusted Christ as her Saviour, along with her visitor that she brought!
I spoke with her concerning baptism, and she said she wanted to be in better health before she was baptized. I talked with her about the necessity of following Christ's example and teachings, and that we do not know what tomorrow holds for us. She decided to wait on baptism.
Lola has been diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver, and her health started a rapid decline. She got so bad that she was hospitalized with dehydration, anemia, and a couple of other health problems. Several Christians were praying for her, and the Lord helped her during her time spent in the hospital. She made an amazing recovery.
Tammy picked her up and brought her home on a Friday afternoon. I spoke to her once again about giving God everything, whether our health is good or poor. So, two days after she was dismissed from the hospital she was baptized into the Iglesia Bautista La Esperanza.

How wonderful she accepted Christ before eternally too late and chose to be obedient to His commands. May she grow in grace and knowledge.
